Open it on your own phone. In the Sleepy Whisper app on Android, iPhone or iPad, scan the code it shows. Or type the address into any browser, with nothing to install.
Watch, listen, talk back. Alerts wake your locked phone if something stirs.

It works when the internet doesn't

Two devices on the same Wi-Fi are enough. So is a phone hotspot in a blackout. There is no server in the middle, because the nursery phone is the server — it hosts the connection itself and hands the video straight to your device.

That one decision is why setup needs no infrastructure at all: no hub to buy, no account to make, nothing to configure. Video and audio travel directly between your own two devices, encrypted, and never reach us — because there is nowhere for them to go.

Away from home, with the one-time Sleepy Whisper Plus purchase, your phones pass a few sealed setup messages through Google's Firebase to find each other. Google cannot read them, and the video and audio still go directly between your devices. Read the privacy policy.

Already have a Wi-Fi camera?

Watch a Tapo camera in the app, straight over your Wi-Fi, with no TP-Link account in the way. Reolink, Hikvision, Dahua, Amcrest, Imou, EZVIZ and other cameras that offer RTSP work too. The app talks only to the camera, on your home network, and keeps its login encrypted on your phone.

The access code changes every five minutes and devices must be paired before they can watch, so a neighbour on your Wi-Fi cannot open your nursery.
